Terms
Formal terms of service have not been written yet. This page says what is true about how the product works today so that nobody has to guess, and it will be replaced rather than extended.
This is not a contract. Nothing on this page is a term of service or legal advice. It is a plain description of how the product behaves, published because a page with nothing on it would be worse than one that admits what it is.
What is settled
- Who owns a board
- The publisher does. A board is a contract recorded under their account, we hold only the key that signs for it, and Settings has a way to move that key to an address they control outright. After that we cannot act for them at all.
- Who owns a space
- Whoever bought it. They write what it says, they can sell it on or rent it out, and anybody can take it from them at the price the board sets — that is the thing being sold, and nobody has to approve a sale.
- What a publisher is paid
- A share of the first sale, of every resale after it, and of anything the space is rented for. The exact shares are frozen into the board when it is created and are shown before that happens.
- What we can change
- Not the record. We cannot take a board back, edit what somebody owns, or change the cut a publisher is paid, because none of that was ever ours to change. What we run is the platform in front of it.
- Money out
- There is no way to a bank account yet. Cashing out moves money to the account you already hold here, and every screen that mentions it says so.
